International Office International Cooperation
The Academy is a member of several professional associations: Fédération International pour la Recherche Theâtrale - International Federation for Theatre Research - FIRT/ IFTR, European League of Institutes of the Arts - ELIA and The International Association of Schools of Cinema and Television - CILECT. The major part of international student exchange is carried out through the Erasmus and CEEPUS programmes. The Academy’s partners in student exchange programs and intensive seminars are the University of Theatre and Film Budapest, VŠMU Bratislava, the University of Antwerp, Free University Berlin, DAMU Prague, Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, Anadolu University, JAMU Brno, the University of Evora and others. The Academy has established links with other institutions in the region, among these the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb (Croatia), the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade (Serbia), the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and the Faculty of Dramatic Arts Cetinje (Montenegro). The Academy regularly presents its artistic production at festivals in Slovenia and abroad. Among the important theatre festivals in which it participates are: SETKANI/ ENCOUNTER, Brno, Czech Republic; ISTRAPOLITANA, Bratislava, Slovakia; SKOMRAHI, Skopje, FYR Macedonia; and the World Festival of Radio, Television and the web Prix d’Italia. Important film festivals: Internationales Festival der Filmhochschullen, Műnchen; International Film And TV Schools Festival Mediaschool, Lodz; European Festival of Film Schools, Bologna; GoEAST - Festival of Central and Eastern European Film Student Competition, Wiesbaden, etc. Information for Foreign Students  Information brochureCourses of study In the academic year 2009/2010 the Academy implemented new undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes based od the principles of the Bologna declaration. These include the strengthening of the interdisciplinary collaboration and research, the introduction of performing art studies as well the integration of the film and television department with the courses in cinematography, editing, sound design and sreenwriting.
