The University of Ljubljana’s Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (in Slovene: Akademija za gledali\u0161\u010de, radio, film in televizijo \u2013 AGRFT) is actively involved in the international community with its educational, artistic and research activities. It is a member of many prominent international professional associations, such as F\u00e9d\u00e9ration internationale pour la recherche th\u00e9\u00e2trale \u2013 International Federation for Theatre Research (FIRT\/IFTR) and Centre international de liaison des \u00e9coles de cin\u00e9ma et de t\u00e9l\u00e9vision \u2013 International Association of Schools of Cinema and Television (CILECT); through the University of Ljubljana it is also a member of the European League of Institutes of the Arts (ELIA),<\/p>\n\n\n\n
International cooperation is organised through student exchanges and staff mobilities between AGRFT and foreign partner institutions, guest appearances at theatre and film festivals, where the academy presents its achievements, and within the framework of research programmes and projects that include academic staff. In addition, it is an intrinsic feature of AGRFT\u2019s teaching process to host guest lecturers \u2013 academics, researchers, experts and artists in the field of performing arts, film and television.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
international@agrft.uni-lj.si<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Bachelor (1st cycle) and Master (2nd cycle): PhD (3rd cycle): Most student and staff mobilities are carried out via the Erasmus+ programme, where AGRFT takes part as a member of the University of Ljubljana (Erasmus code: SI LJUBLJA01).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Due to AGRFT’s limited space and human resources we only offer Erasmus+ study exchanges to students of our partner institutions<\/strong>. For the same reason we do not accept freemovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Incoming exchange students join our courses for regular students so the language of instruction is Slovene<\/strong>. It is therefore recommended that foreign students master Slovene at least at an intermediate level to be able to follow classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Regardless of that, AGRFT offers all incoming students consultations with lecturers in a foreign language<\/strong>, provides them with summaries of lectures in a foreign language<\/strong> and allows them to pass course requirements in a foreign language<\/strong> (in most cases English).<\/p>\n\n\n\n A Slovene language course for Erasmus+ students<\/a> is offered by the University of Ljubljana before the beginning of each semester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n For all those who wish to learn Slovene on their own in a simple, playful and effective way, Slovene Learning Online<\/a> is a freely accessible online course in Slovene for foreigners, developed by the Centre for Slovene as a Second and Foreign Language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Learning the basics of Slovene is also possible on the platform EU Academy<\/a>. It only takes a few seconds to set up your profile and begin your language learning journey; see the intro module that walks you through the process of creating an account here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The list of courses offered to Erasmus+ students in 2026\/2027 can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students conducting their study exchange at AGRFT for only one semester may choose all-year courses but must divide the number of ECTS in half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The decision on acceptance into any course is in the hands of the professor. Enrolment into practical courses is only possible if there is space in the course and if the student shows that they have sufficient preknowledge of the field, which they do by including references in the fields of desired practical courses in their portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a rule, students of Bachelor study programmes cannot choose courses offered by AGRFT at the Master level. Exceptions are possible if the student proves that they have sufficient preknowledge of the field. The candidate\u2019s home institution must nominate the student to international@agrft.uni-lj.si<\/a> before May 15th for the first semester<\/strong> (or entire academic year) and before November 15th for the second semester<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The nomination must include the student\u2019s name, e-mail address, field of study, study cycle, year of study and exchange period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To apply for an Erasmus+ study exchange at AGRFT, the nominated student must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Fill in the online application form<\/a> and upload:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Study exchange at AGRFT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Students of Master study programmes may only choose courses offered by AGRFT at the Bachelor level if there are no comparable courses offered at the Master level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
