During the past seven decades, the Academy has provided training, instruction as well as job opportunities for a series of most prominent artists in the field of Slovene theatre and radio. The study programmes implemented at the Department of Theatre and Radio are founded on artistic, creative and practical basis to train, instruct and encourage art production. Practical aspects are complemented by professional and theoretical modules of a largely elective character. Under the thorough guidance of qualified university lecturers, we aim to augment the study process by inviting prominent artists, professionals and experts in various areas of performing media. Instruction at our department respects tradition, but takes into account current research and introduction of up-to-date practice in respective fields as well.
